In case we've lost touch, here's what's happening:

My partner Alex and I moved in January (2007) from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. We live less than an hour north of the District in Maryland. Alex is working for Kaiser Permanent. We've both wanted to get out of Los Angeles (Hotel California) for some time. My family is mostly in the Eastern US. We were blessed to sell our home in LA before the market sank and it appears we bought at the bottom of the market here in Maryland.

I'm preparing to enter a PhD program in American Religious History (Fall, 2008) with plans to teach at a University. That's a big career shift from designing theme parks, but I'm very excited for this new direction in my life.

Here's a bit of shameless self-promotion. I'm available as a consultant for the next 16 months.  I have a great deal of experience in management, recruiting, training and communications. My ideal job would be a full-time, fixed-duration (12-16 months) training or recruiting project assignment with health benefits.
