Here's a phenomenon that has experienced a resurgence of popularity. People are gathering in small groups for all kinds of reasons: prayer and bible study, book reading and discussion, political organizing, support groups, action-oriented and grassroots organizing groups..

I've participated in groups and observed small group movements for most of my life. I'll write more here about some of what I learned about what makes a group "work."
